About the author

Patrick Bernhardt is the debut author and creator of Flarefall, a character-driven post-apocalyptic series recognized for its emotional depth, layered characters, tactical realism, and cinematic atmosphere. Drawing on a career in cloud engineering, systems architecture, and large-scale project optimization, Patrick applies structured, goal-driven production methods to develop immersive, internally consistent worlds. This approach enabled him to deliver Flarefall as a fully realized franchise package from the outset, including a polished novel, adaptation strategy, detailed world bible, and long-term literary roadmap. Set in the aftermath of a global solar event, the series explores survival, community, and the fragile balance between order and collapse. Patrick safeguards the moral core, scientific plausibility, and narrative integrity of the Flarefall universe while remaining open to thoughtful collaboration. This novel is the first in a planned multi-book series.

Beyond writing, Patrick is a lifelong car aficionado, IT Cloud Team Manager, and systems thinker who divides his time between shaping intricate story arcs and working with high-performance machines. His work blends precision and pacing with grit and heart, whether crafting a tense disaster sequence or fine-tuning an engine. He is driven by a passion for craftsmanship, momentum, and stories built to endure. Patrick lives in Texas with his blended family.
